Calbee Co., Ltd. is introducing a limited-edition version of its popular Pizza Potato snack with the launch of Crispy Pizza Potato Cheese Cheese Cheese, available at convenience stores across Japan from 27 July 2026.
Developed as a spin-off of the long-running Pizza Potato brand, the new product features double the cheese compared with the standard Pizza Potato, delivering a richer, creamier cheese experience combined with a light, crispy texture.
Originally launched in 1992, Pizza Potato has become one of Calbee’s flagship potato snack brands, known for recreating the authentic taste of pizza using cheese-flavoured flakes and parsley. Building on that success, Calbee spent more than two years developing Crispy Pizza Potato to appeal to both loyal fans and consumers looking for new snacking experiences.
The product features thick, wavy-cut potato chips that provide a crunchy yet airy texture. Cheese cream is applied evenly in a line across each chip, ensuring a rich cheese flavour in every bite. According to Calbee, the cheese content has been doubled compared with the original Pizza Potato, creating an even more indulgent snacking experience.
To reinforce its premium positioning, the limited-edition product also features distinctive packaging with a black background, tricolour accents and graphics highlighting the generous cheese content while maintaining a clear connection to the Pizza Potato brand.
The 45g product will be available for a limited time at convenience stores throughout Japan, with an estimated retail price of ¥210 (including tax).
