To celebrate the first potato harvest of 2025 in Hokkaido, Calbee Inc. is releasing limited-edition
Hokkaido First-Dug Potato Chips in two flavors: Light Salt and Kelp Soy Sauce. These chips
are made from freshly harvested potatoes and feature local ingredients like Okhotsk Sea salt and
Hakodate kelp.
Available in 53g bags starting Monday, August 4, 2025, these seasonal snacks will be sold
across supermarkets and convenience stores in Hokkaido and select regions in Japan—while
supplies last.
The refreshed packaging highlights the fresh, just-dug appeal of the chips, offering a crisp taste
of summer straight from Hokkaido’s fields.
